اللحن الثامن والانجيل الحادي عشر للسحر

St. John Chrysostom Divine Liturgy

 

Antiphon Prayer:

O Christ our God, You condemned the Pharisee proud of his works and justified the Publican bent by repentance. We implore You in your mercies to give us repentant hearts and to enlighten our minds so that we may recognize our sins and confess them. Forgive us our trespasses and restore us to the initial justification which we have lost by rebelling against your divine commandments. For You alone are merciful and compassionate and to You we render glory and to your Eternal Father and your All-holy, Good and Life-giving Spirit, now and always and forever and ever.

صلاة الأنديفونة:

أَيُها المسيحُ إلهُنا الحقيقي، يا من حَكم على الفرَّيسيّ المفتخر بأعماله، وبرَّرَ العشَّارَ المنخري بالتَّوبة، نسأل مراحمك ان تهبَنا قلوباً مُنسحقةً نادمة، وتُنيرَ ضمائرنا لنعرف خفيَّانا ونُقِرَّ بأخطائنا، ونصفحَ عن سيئاتنا، مُعيداً إلينا البرارة التي فقدناها بعصياننا أوامرَك الإلهية

لأنك أنتَ وحدَك رحيمٌ وغفور، واليكَ نرفع المجد، وإلى أبيك الأزلي وروحك القدوس، الصالح والمحيي، الآن وكل أوان وألى دهر الداهرين. آمين.

 

Troparion of the resurrection (Tone 1)

 After the stone was sealed by the Jews and the while the soldiers were watching Your spotless body, You rose, O Savior, on the third day, giving life to the world. Wherefore, the heavenly powers cried out to you, O Giver of life: “Glory to Your resurrection, O Christ!  Glory to Your kingdom! Glory to Your economy, O You who alone are the lover of mankind!”

 

نشيد القيامة باللحن الاول

إن الحجر ختمه اليهود، وجسدكَ الطاهرَ حرسه الجنود. لكنكَ قمتَ في اليوم الثالث، أيها الخلص، واهباً للعالم الحياة. لذلك قواتُ السماواتِ هتفت اليكَ، يا مُعطيَ الحياة: المجدُ لقيامتكَ أيها المسيح. المجدُ لملكِك.  المجدُ لتدبيركَ، يا محبَ البشر وحدك.

 

Troparion of Gregory (Tone 1)

The sweet melody of your theological teaching has overcome the noisy blast of orators, for God has granted you the power of penetration spiritual depths and the gift of brilliant literary talent. Gregory of father, intercede with Christ God that he may save our souls.

 

النشيد لتذكار أبينا غريغوريوس باللحن الأول

إن مزمار لاهُوتك الرعائي. ظهرَ على أبواق الخطباء. فإنك إذا سَبرتَ أعماق الروح. مُنحتَ أيضاً روائعَ النطق. فاشفع أيها الأبُ غريغوريوس إلى المسيح الإله. في خلاصِ نفوسنا.

 

Troparion of St Barbara: Let us praise the most venerable Barbara, who pierced the enemy's net and, like a trapped ostrich, escaped from it through the strength-giving weapon of the cross.

 

نشيد القديسة بربارة باللحن السابع

لنُكرِّمنَّ القديسةَ بربارة، فقد كسرت هذه الجزيلة الوقار فخاخ العدو، ونجت منها كالعصفور بمعونة الصليب وسلاحه 

 

Kontakion of the Pharisee and the Publican (Tone 4)

Let us shun the boastful words of the Pharisee and learn from the Publican humility with sighing: let us cry out to our Savior. “Have mercy on us. You who alone are merciful.

Sunday of the Pharisee and the Publican

Epistle: Hebrews 7:26-28; 8:1-2 - Our Father among the Sants John Chrysostom

 

Prokimenon:

My mouth shall speak wisdom; prudence shall be the utterance of my heart.

Stichon: Hear this, all you peoples: hearken, all who dwell in the world.

Reading from the Epistle of St. Paul to the Hebrews 7:26-28; 8:1-2

Brethren, it was fitting that we should have such a high priest, holy, innocent, undefiled (Cf. Lv. 16:6), set apart from sinners, and become Highter that the heavens.  He does not need to offer sacrifices daily (as the other priests did), first for his own sins, and then for the sins of the people; for this latter he did once for all in offering up himself.  For the Law appoints as priests’ men who are week; but the word of the oath, which came after the Law, appoints a Son who is forever perfect.

Now the main point in what we are saying is this: we have such a high priest who has taken his seat at the right hand of the throne of majesty in the heavens, a minister of the Holies and of the true tabernacle, which the Lord has set up and not man.

Alleluia:

The mouth of the just yields wisdom, but the perverse tongue will be cut off.

Stichon: The law of his God is in his heart, and his steps shall not falter.

 

رسالة 13 تشرين الثاني للقديس يوحنا الذهبي الفم

مقدمة الرسالة

ان فمي ينطق بالحكمة، وقلبي يلهج بلفهم

اسمعوا هذا يا جميع الامم، أصِيخوا يا جميع قاطني المسكونة

فصل من رسالة القديس بولس الرسول الى العبرانيين

يا اخوة كان يُلائمنا رئيس كهنة مثلُ هذا: بارٌ، لا شر فيه، زكي، قد تنزه عن الخطأة، وصارَ أعلى من السماوات، لا حاجة له ان يقرب كل يوم مثل رؤساء الكهنة ذبائح عن خطاياه الخاصة أولاً، ثم عن خطايا الشعب. لأنه قضى خذا مرة واحدة حين قرب نفسه. فان الناموس يُقيمُ أُناساً ضعفاءَ رؤساء كهنة. اما كلمة القَسمِ التي بعد الناموس، فتقيمُ الانَ مكمَّلاً الى الابد. ورأس الكلام في هذا الموضوع أن لنا رئيسَ كهنة هذه صفته، اي قد جلس عن يمين عرش الجلال في السماوات، وهو خادم الاقداسِ والمسكن الحقيقي الذي نصبه الربُ لا الانسان.

فم الصديقِ يقطرُ الحكمة، ولسانُ الأثيمِ يُقطع

شريعةُ إلههِ في قلبه، فلا تزل خطواته

 

Gospel: Luke 18: 10-14 (The Pharisee and the Publican)

The Lord told this parable: “Two men went up to the temple to pray, the one a Pharisee and the other a publican.  The Pharisee stood and began to pray thus within himself: ‘O God, I thank you that I am not like the rest of men, robbers, dishonest, adulterers, or even like this publican.  I fast twice a week; I pay tithes of all I possess.’ But the publican, standing far off, would not so much as lift up his eyes to heaven, but kept striking his breast, saying, ‘O God, be merciful to me a sinner!’ I tell you; this man went back to his home justified rather than the other; for anyone who exalts himself shall be humbled, and anyone who humbles himself shall be exalted

 

إنجيل الفريسي والعشار (لوقا 10:18-14)

قال الربُّ هذا المثل: رجلانِ صعدا الى الهيكلِ ليصلّيا، أحدُهما فرّيسيٌ والآخرُ عشَّار.  فالفرّيسيُ انتصب يصلي في نفسه هكذا. اللهمَّ أني اشكرُكَ لأني لستُ كسائر الناسِ الخطفةِ الظالمينَ الفاسقين. ولا مثلَ هذا العشَّار. إِني أَصومُ في الاسبوع مرتين، وأُعشرُ كلَّ ما هو لي. وأَمَّا العشَّارُ فوقفَ عن بُعدٍ ولم يُردْ حتىَّ أَن يرفعَ عينيهِ إلى السماء. بل كان يقرعُ صدرَهُ قائلاً: أَللهمَّ اغفر لي أَنا الخاطئ. أَقولُ لكم: إِن هذا نزلُ إلى بيِته مبرَّراً دونَ ذاك. لأَن كلَّ من رفعَ نفسَه وُضعْ ومن وضعَ نفسَه رُفع.
