SPECIAL PETITIONS: After the 5th petition of the Great Synapte, the following special petitions are said:

6. That the fruits of holy Baptism may be realized in us and that we may partake of the death of Christ our

God, in order to partake of his Resurrection, let us pray to the Lord.

7. That we may be transformed by casting off the old man and putting on the new man, in order to become a new creature in Christ, let us pray to the Lord

8. That the world may be sanctified and the whole creation renewed by the salvific Theophany of Our Savior Jesus Christ, let us pray to the Lord.

9. That the Gospel of Christ may shine upon all countries of the world and their peoples may be enlightened by the Divine Knowledge, let us pray to the Lord."

10. For our deliverance from all affliction. etc.

5- من أجل ِ رئيسِ كهنتنا ...

6- لأجل أن تتحقَّق فينا ثِمارُ المعمودَّية المقدَّسة، فنُغرَسَ مع المسيحِ إِلهِنا في شبهِ موتهِ، حتَّى نَصيرَ مُتَّحدين معه في شبهِ قيامته، إلى الربّ نطلب

7- لأجلِ أن نتبدَّل، فنخلعَ الإنسان العتيقَ ونَلبَسَ الإنسان الجديد، فنُصبحَ خليقةً جديدةً في المسيح، الى الربّ نطلب

8- لأجلِ أن يتقدَّس العالم وتتجدَّد الخليقةُ كلُّها، بظهور المسيحِ الخلاصيّ، إلى الربّ نطلب.

9- لأجلِ أن يُشرِقَ إنجيلُ المسيح في جميعِ أقطار الأرض، فتُقبِلَ الشعوبُ الى نُور المعرفة الإلهية، الى الربّ نطلب.

10- لأجل نجاتنا من كل ضيق وغضب وخطرٍ وشدة...

ANTIPHONS PRAYER: O Lord, Who have saved us by the baptism of regeneration and the renewal coming from the Holy Spirit, enlighten our minds, uphold us in Faith, confirm us in Hope, fulfill us in Love, make us worthy members of your Christ Who sacrificed Himself in redemption of our souls, so that being justified by your Grace, we may inherit eternal life. For You are our Light and our Sanctification and to You we render glory, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, now and always and forever and ever.


صلاة الأنديفونة:
أيها الرب، يا من خلّصتنا بمعمودية التجديد، وبالتجديد الذي من الروح القدس، أنِرْ عقولنا، وثبّتنا في الإيمان، وأكّدنا في الرجاء، وكَمِّلْنا في المحبة، واجعلنا مستحقّين أن نكون أعضاء في مسيحك، الذي بذل ذاته فداءً عن نفوسنا، لكي نتبرّر بنعمتك ونرث الحياة الأبدية. لأنك أنت نورنا وقداستنا، ولك نرفع المجد، أيها الآب والابن والروح القدس، الآن وكل أوان وإلى دهر الداهرين. آمين.

 

ISODHIKON: Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord. The Lord is God and He has appeared to us. O Son of God who were baptized by John in the Jordan river, save us who sing to You: Alleluia!

Troparion of the Resurrection (Tone 6)

The angelic powers were around Your tomb, and the guards became as dead, and Mary stood at the tomb, seeking Your spotless body; Then You despoiled Hades without being tried by it, and You met the Virgin O Bestower of life. O Lord, who rose from the dead, glory to You!

إن القوات الملائكية ظهرتْ على قبرِك، والحراسَ صاروا كالأموات، ومريمَ وقفتْ عند القبر، طالبةُ جسدكَ الطاهر. فسلبتَ الجحيمَ ولم تنلكَ بأذى، ولاقيت البتول َواهباً الحياة. فيا من قام من بينِ الاموات، يا رب المجدُ لك.

Troparion of the Theophany, (Tone 1)

At your Baptism in the Jordan, O Lord, the worship of the Trinity was revealed: for the Father’s voice bore witness to you by calling You his Beloved Son, and the spirit in the form of a dove confirmed the truth of these words.  O Christ God who have appeared to us, and enlightened the world, glory to You.

في اعتمادكَ يا ربّ في نهرِ الاردن، ظهرَ السجودُ للثالوث، فإنَ صوتَ الآبِ تقدم لكَ بالشهادة، مسمياً أياكَ أبناً محبوباً. والروحُ بهيئةِ حمامةٍ يؤيدُ حقيقةَ الكلمة. فيا من ظهرَ وانارَ العالم، أيها المسيحُ الالهُ المجدُ لك.

Troparion of St Barbara: Let us praise the most venerable Barbara, who pierced the enemy's net and, like a trapped ostrich, escaped from it through the strength-giving weapon of the cross.

لنُكرِّمنَّ القديسةَ بربارة، فقد كسرت هذه الجزيلة الوقار فخاخ العدو، ونجت منها كالعصفور بمعونة الصليب وسلاحه 

Kondakion of the Theophany, (Tone 3)

Today You have appeared, O Lord, to the universe and Your light, O Christ our God, has been impressed upon us who sing to You with full knowledge: You came and appeared, O Inaccessible Light.

Epistle of St. Paul to the Hebrews: 13:7-16

Reading from the Epistle of St. Paul to the Hebrews: 13:7-16

RETHREN, remember your superiors who spoke to you the word of God. Consider how they ended their lives, and imitate their faith. Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today, yes, and forever. Do not be

led away by various and strange doctrines. For it is good to make the heart steadfast by grace, not by foods, in which those who walked found no profit.

We have an altar, from which they have no right to eat who serve the tabernacle (Cf. Lv.16:17). For the bodies of those animals whose blood is brought into the Holies by the high priest for sin, are burned outside the camp.  And so Jesus also, that he might sanctify the people by his blood, suffered outside the gate.

Let us therefore go forth to him outside the camp, bearing his reproach; for here we have no permanent city, but we seek for the city that is to come. Through him, therefore, let us offer up a sacrifice of praise always to God, that is, fruit of lips praising his name. And do not forget kindness and love, for by such sacrifices God's favor is obtained.

 

Alleluia: Happy the man who fears the Lord!

He will joyfully agree with his commands.

بماذا يُكافئ الرب عن كل ما أحسنَ إلينا

الرسالة (العبرانيين 13:7-16)

فصلُّ مِن رِسالة القِدَّيس بولسَ الرّسولِ الى العبرانين

يا إخوة، أذكَرُوا مُدَبرِيكُمُ الذين كلموكُم بكلمة اللّه. تأملوا في عاقِبَةِ تَصَرُّفِهم وأقتَدُوا بإيمانهم إن يسَوعَ المسحَ هو هوَ أمس واليومَ وإلى الدَّهور لا تَنخدعوا بِتَعالِيمَ مُتَنَوْعة وغريبة. فإنَّهُ يَحسُنُ أَن يُثَبَّتَ القّلبُ بالنِّعمة، لا بأطعِمَةٍ لَمْ تَنفَعِ الذينَ جَرَوا بمُوَجَها إن لَنا مَذبحاً لا يَحقُّ للَّذينَ يَخِدُّمُونَ الْمَسكِن أن يَأْكُلوا مِنهُ، لأنَّ الحَيَواناتِ التي يَدُخِلُ رَئيسُ الكَهنَّةِ الأقداس بدَمِها عن الخطيئة، تُحرّقُ أَجسامها خارِجَ المحلَّة. لذلكَ يَسوعُ أيضاً تألَّمَ خارِجَ الباب، ليُقَدِسَ الشَّعبَ بدَمه الخاصّ فلنَخرُجْ إِذَنْ إِلَيهِ إِلى خارجِ المحلَّةِ حامِلينَ عارَه لأَنْهُ ليسَ لنا هُهنا مدينةُ باقية، لَكِنَّا نَطلْبُ الآتِيَة فلنُقَرّب بهِ إِذن ذَبِيحَةَ الحمدِ للهِ كلَّ حين، وهيَ ثَمَرُ الشِّفاهِ الْمعتَرِفَةِ لاسمهِ، لا تَنسَوا الإحسانَ والْمُوَّاساة، فإنَّ اللهَ يَرتَضي مثلَ هذهِ الذَّبائح.

Gospel: Matthew 4:12-17 - Sunday after Theophany

 

At that time, when Jesus heard that John had been delivered up, he withdrew to Galilee. And leaving the town of Nazareth, he came and lived in Capernaum, which is by the sea, in the territory of Zebulon and Nephtalim; that there might be fulfilled what was spoken through Isaiah the prophet: "Land of Zebulon and land of Nephtalim, by the way to the sea, beyond the Jordan, Galilee of the Gentiles: the people who sat in darkness have seen a great light; and upon those who sat in the region and shadow of death, a light has arisen." From that time, Jesus began to preach and say, "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand."

 

انجيل الاحد الذي بعد عيد الظهور

الانجيل (متى 4: 12- 17)

في ذلك الزمان، لما سمعَ يسوعُ ان يوحنَّا قد اُسلِم، انصرفَ الى الجليل. وترك الناصرةَ وجاءَ فسكنَ في كفرناحوم التي على شاطئ البحر، في تخومِ زَبولونَ ونَفتاليم، ليتمَّ ما قيلَ بأشعيا النبيّ القائل: أَرضُ زَبولونَ وأَرضُ نفتاليم، طريقُ البحرِ عِبرُ الاردنّ جليلُ الأُمم. الشعبُ الجالسُ في الظلمةِ أَبصرَ نوراً عظيماً، والجالسونَ في بقعةِ الموتِ وظلالهِ أَشرقَ عليهم نور. ومنذئذٍ ابتدأ يسوعُ يَكرِزُ ويقول: توبوا فقد أقتربَ ملكوتُ السماوات.

 

Hymn to the Theotokos: (Tone 2)

O my soul, magnify the Higher in honor and glory than the heavenly Powers. All tongues are at a loss to praise you properly, and every intelligence even supernatural is rapt in wonder when it comes to honor you, O Mother of God. But in your graciousness accept our faith, knowing our holy longing. Intercessor of Christians, we extol you!

 

النشيد لوالدة الإله: (باللحن الثاني)

عظِّمي يا نفسي مَن هيَ أكرمُ قدراً وأرفعُ مجداً من الجنودِ العُلْويَّة.  كلُّ لسانٍ يَعجزُ عنِ امتِداحِكِ بما يليقُ بكِ، يا والدةَ الإله. وكلُّ عقلٍ مهما سما، يَحارُ في تسبيحِكِ. لكن تقبّلي إيمانَنا بما أنكِ صالحة، وتعرِفينَ شوقَنا الإلهيّ. وإذ إنكِ شفيعةُ المسيحيين، إيّاكِ نعظّم.
