v Holy Palm Sunday March 24th:  Liturgy at 12.30 pm.  Blessing of Palms, Procession.

v Great and Holy Tuesday March 26th 7.30 pm Matins and the Service of Holy Anointing

v Great and Holy Thursday, March 28th: 7:30 pm   The Service of the 12 Gospels, and the Crucifixion of our Lord Jesus Christ.

v Great and Holy Friday, March 29th: 8:00 pm   Burial Vespers and Procession

v Great and Holy Saturday, March 30th:  8.00 pm Resurrection Matins and Divine Liturgy, followed by the Blessing of Baskets

v Great and Holy Easter Sunday, March 31st: 12:30 pm Resurrection Matins and Divine Liturgy, followed by the Blessing of Baskets.

Dear brothers and Sisters Parishioners and members of Saint Barbara Melkite Catholic Church,

 
Today, with the blessing of Our Lord Jesus Christ, our community officially completed the transaction of purchasing the land on which we plan to build our Mother Church. 

Yes Dear Melkites of Houston, today is a historical day in the life of our Young Parish as our community successfully accomplished the first milestone by owning a paid-in-full land, and the journey towards our next milestone begins!!!

 

On this Holy Day, the Eve of the Holy Cross and after long difficult path which we walked patiently together, God filled our hearts with the cheerful news and rewarded our endless efforts, God has blessed us with a land to be called home!

 

I wanted to invite all of you to participate in this great and joyful celebration by Glorifying God first, then by responding to His sacred call to all of us, old and young, ladies and gentlemen, poor and rich to unite together and become one hand, one heart, and one Body of Christ by joining all efforts and work towards fulfilling His will in building the First Melkite Church in the Great State of Texas.

 

What has been achieved is the first and most essential step towards building the House of God, however, our job does not end here.  In order to continue our journey we ALL must faithfully commit and participate in prayers, spiritual activities and work harder than ever, hand in hand, to build our church. 

 

Nothing is greater for a man than partnering with his Lord to build His house on Earth in order to nourish and grow the community spiritually and physically.  True Church is made of humans first, then stones, to worship our Lord and sanctify the lovers of the beauty of his house, in His turn, God will compensate His children with His divine abilities.

 

In your name, I thank and praise the Lord for his Grace, ask Him to bless His land, His church, His parish, and me.

أخوتي وأخواتي الأحباء أبناء رعية القديسة بربارة للروم الكاثوليك،

تم اليوم بنعمة الرب شراء أرض الكنيسة ودفع ثمنها بالكامل، نعم أيها الأحباء أصبح للروم الكاثوليك أرض في هيوستن لبناء أول رعية للروم الكاثوليك في ولاية تكساس بعد طول صبر وانتظار أراد الرب أن يفرح قلوبنا ويعطينا هذه الهدية العظيمة في عشية عيد الصليب المقدس، أدعوكم اليوم للمشاركة في هذه الفرحة العظيمة، إنها دعوة مقدسة من الرب لكي نتضامن مع بعضنا البعض ونكون يد واحدة في إتمام إرادته.

ما تم إنجازه هو الخطوة الأولى والأساسية، ولكن لكي نستمر في العمل لبناء الكنيسة لا بد من أن نزيد من التزامنا بكنيستنا ونشارك أكثر في الصلوات والنشاطات خلال هذه السنة المباركة ونعمل يدا بيد تعزيزاً لانتمائنا وتمجيداً لله. لا شيْ أعظم يمكن أن يعمله الانسان ويفتخر به من أن شريكاً مع الرب في تأسيس بيته على الأرض لينمو بنيان الكنيسة بشقيها الروحي والمادي أي كنيسة البشر والحجر، مع الكنيسة نصلي لكي يبارك الرب ويقدس محبين جمال بيته ويعوضهم عن ذلك مجداً بقدرته الإلهية.

باسمكم أتوجه بالشكر أولاً للرب على نعمته طالبًا اليه أن يبارك أرضه وكنيسته ورعيته وأن يعطينا القوة والصبر لنتم بناء هيكله الأرضي ويجعلنا من سكان هيكله السماوي أيضاً.

وثانياً أتقدم بالشكر إليكم جميعاً يا أبناء رعيتي المحبوبين في الرب، الشكر لكم جميعاً على صبركم وتضحياتكم ومحبتكم، الشكر لكم على دعمكم المادي وتبرعاتكم. الشكر لجميع الذين تبرعوا وساهموا من مالهم وجهدهم ووقتهم. بارككم الله جميعاً وعوض عليكم بدل أتعابكم كل ما تحتاجون من نعم أرضية وسماوية.

أدعوكم جميعاً للمشاركة في قداس الأحد القادم 16 أيلول لنحتفل معاً بعيد رفع الصليب المقدس ونرفع معاً الشكر والتسبيح للرب ونجدد له التزامنا وعهدنا بمواصلة العمل لبناء كنيسته.
